As a lecturer I used this method with student reports too, because I held their conclusions in mind while I read their work – It’s a kind of total immersion; for me.

I’m using that now with 8½ Steps. Just the job, as they say.

Sometimes getting up earlier in the morning (or staying up later at night) is a good way to find extra time for yourself and your own projects. Good luck, Michael!

I have a predilection to planning but it seems to only really be effective for errands and appointments; not for me and what would benefit me in the long run. Now matter how many times I hear this advice I need to keep hearing it until I can start treating my aspirational needs just like they were real!
2. Thanks for putting the planning idea into the context of being beholden to others. I have been thrust into the role of being a caregiver. Because of a series of two fractures/breaks, my wife can’t drive and needs help carrying things. This post is a catalyst for me to stop feeling so at the mercy of things I can’t control by planning the time I do have control of, and using it more effectively!
Thanks!
